This one was for a customer. I just love how perfectly his hat fits him and had to show 'n tell. I freehanded the hat in sc and dc with (what else?) Red Heart Supersaver. I'll have to write out a pattern next time so I can recreate it. I think I'm addicted.

I have given into the quilting bug. I haven't made anything yet, but I'm scouting for fun fabrics to play with. I found these goodies in the napkin bin at the thrift store. I actually could use some extra cloth napkins so maybe I'll keep a few as is. My fav is the green with tiny flowers. It has to be from the 70's.

While in FL, I found a cool used book store with this groovy 70's DIY book called make it yourself. I think it is one in a series, but this was the only one they had. Among tips on tailoring and general sewing, there were a few cool knit/crochet patterns and fun ideas. This floor cushion was titled "Soft, round and chunky" Sounds good to me. I don't think it would quite go with my decor though.

I am a bad, bad crochet gifter. I wound up finishing bro #2's blanket at my dad's house in front of bro. Kinda ruins the suprise. There was also a bit of talk between my competitive brothers about how bro #3's blanket was bigger. I told them it took me one month to make the first blanket, but 4 months to make the smaller blanket. It also was a sc zig-zag pattern which is a bit more time consuming
